Praise the Lord! (Or Boris Johnson) It has just been announced that London bus fares and tube prices will be frozen in 2016. In other words, while just about everything else is rising in price by the second, you can rest assured that your travel expenses are going to remain, well, as expensive as they were in 2015.
Single bus fares will be locked at £1.50 per journey and (nearly) all tube fares will stay at the same price. The two exceptions to the rule are that pay-as-you-go Oyster journeys in Zone 1 only and Zone 1 and 2 off-peak fares will rise 10p from £2.30 to £2.40, while an anytime all zones travelcard will rise by 20p to £17.20.
Every little helps eh…
Tube prices may be staying level but have you seen the cost of renting at each stop?!
