Over in King’s Cross, bobbing charmingly on the water, you’ll find one of London’s most intimate wintry drinking experiences. Some clever clogs has combined two of the most beloved things to Londoners, mulled wine and waterside drinking, and elevated them both to new heights. The Copper Quay, a boat-turned-bar-slash-private-hire-floating-venue, has transformed into a floating mulled wine pop-up.
Moored by the King’s Cross Green Steps, this Christmassy experience is just the tonic to spice up these cold, dark nights. The limited-time, limited-space pop-up is serving “spiced mulled wine, seasonal bites, and unmistakable Christmas atmosphere, all set on the water’s edge.”
Don’t go trying to book huge tables, though, as each booking is for just two people. And there are only six tables on board the vessel! It’s the perfect spot to spice up date night, for Christmas catch-ups, or for (small) team get-togethers. It’s truly the sort of thing you’re likely to find in a Hallmark Christmas movie. Can’t you just see it? Two estranged lovers meeting up for a mulled wine (or four) and rediscovering their love for each other aboard a floating Christmassy vessel.

Fret not, if wine isn’t quite your style. It’s not the only winter warmer option available to floating drinkers. The menu also features a hot toddy, as well as beer, wine, soft drinks, and more. Feeling peckish? You can chow down on a cheese board, because nothing goes together better than (mulled) wine and cheese.
And don’t worry about trying to find your way home with a belly full of mulled wine and a spinning head. This floating mulled wine pop-up won’t actually be travelling along the water with you on board. Instead, The Copper Quay will stay moored at the Green Steps throughout your booking.
📍 Find the floating mulled wine pop-up at The Copper Quay, Canalside Green Steps, Regent’s Canal Towpath, N1C 4PQ. The nearest station is King’s Cross St. Pancras.
Book your spot aboard The Copper Quay here. You’ll be charged a £10 booking fee, but this will be deducted from your final bill.
