Ask any London carnivore about the best place to get a steak, and they’ll likely reel off a never-ending stream of recommendations. But one place that comes up time and time again is Flat Iron. Renowned for the incredible quality of their meat, especially given their ultra-affordable prices, the family of casual steak eateries is inarguably one of the most popular in the UK. Well, they’re opening up another site in the middle of our city, and they’re celebrating in true Flat Iron style – by giving away hundreds of FREE Wagyu steaks.
Flat Iron’s newest restaurant will open on March 26, in an impressive space with room for 100 diners at a time. But just before they open, they’re giving hungry Londoners a peek inside with a delectable giveaway. On March 25, they’ll be giving away 300 free Wagyu steaks. And you can bet you’ll find us in line, waiting for a delicious free steak!
Flat Iron Piccadilly
It’s a homecoming of sorts for the popular steak restaurant as it returns to central London. In fact, the new site is just moments away from the original Flat Iron Soho, which opened all the way back in 2012. And they’re sticking to the classics, here – because if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it!
If you’ve been to other Flat Iron restaurants, you’ll know what to expect. Their signature, eponymous Flat Iron steak takes pride of place on the menu – and remains one of the best deals for steak in the city. The menu will also feature daily Wagyu specials, a Yorkshire-reared beef burger, and classic sides such as beef dripping chips and bone marrow mash.
To go with the food, the drinks range from Flat Iron’s own Limoux-blended Malbec, as well as a range of other wines, beers, and cocktails. The new site will also feature a nitrogenated beer exclusive to Flat Iron Piccadilly. They’ve teamed up with Mondo Brewery to create a Nitro IPA – with the mouthfeel of Guinness and the hoppy flavours of an IPA.
How to get free Wagyu steaks
The steak giveaway will see the new Flat Iron site inviting hungry diners into the venue before the restaurant officially opens. From 5pm on Wednesday, March 25, they’ll be giving away 300 free Wagyu steaks on a first-come, first-served basis. So, all you have to do is rock up and be among the first 300 people to arrive!
We’d recommend getting there a bit earlier than 5pm – as we imagine this giveaway will be pretty popular! After all, who doesn’t love a free dinner?
