If you’re a bit of a control freak (and there’s nothing wrong with that, is there?), you might not like the thought of taking your hands off the steering wheel of a car. Or the thought of a car having no steering wheel at all. Well, it’s time for you to panic, as Londoners can now sign up to trial the driverless cars in London. GATEway (Greenwich Automated Transport Environment), is opening up applications for volunteers to participate in riding these driverless vehicles for the first time in Greenwich this June.
But there is seriously no need to panic. Not only are driverless cars supposedly very safe, there will also be stewards making sure that these 6-seater pods don’t malfunction and head rambling off on the wrong route. Find out more info on the GATEway website.
