A Cardboard Boat Sailed Down The Thames… And It DIDN’T Sink!

When we were kids, a discarded cardboard box was all we needed for our little imaginations to run wild. While sat inside a cardboard box, you’d suddenly be sat inside a car or a spaceship. Well, this weekend, Kevin McCloud has made our childish dreams a reality by creating a fully-functional cardboard boat. On Saturday morning, McCloud sailed this vessel down the Thames as he made his way to the Grand Designs Live show held at London’s Excel.

Made out of fully-recycled material, the boat contains two bunks, a kitchen, portholes and an anchor. What’s even more remarkable is that the ship DIDN’T sink (but we can imagine it’s now very soggy)! The boat will be showcased at the Grand Designs Live show, which runs until the 8th May.
