No area in London is quite as synonymous with fashion and luxury as Bond Street. Thanks to the street’s collection of impressive art galleries, auction houses, and flagship stores for high-end brands, it’s known the world over as a fashion destination. And now, to pay homage to its history and prestige, Bond Street has partnered up with a world-leading brand on the Bond Street Christmas lights.
Yup, that’s right – in case you couldn’t tell from the picture, Bond Street has teamed up with CHANEL for a stunning Christmas lights display. Featuring the silhouette of the brand’s iconic CHANEL NO°5 perfume bottle, it’s the very first display of its sort in the area’s 60-year history of lighting up for Christmas.
The lights turned on this November, with British actor and CHANEL ambassador Lucy Boynton on hand to flip the switch on the display. They’re now shimmering prettily above Bond Street through the nights. And they’ll be around for a while yet – the Bond Street Christmas lights will stay up, and illuminated, all the way until January 12, 2025. You can find them running along the street from Piccadilly to Oxford Street junctions.
The Giving Tree
Elsewhere on Bond Street, another world-famous retailer is also getting in on the Christmas spirit of giving. Giving back, that is. Outside the flagship Ralph Lauren store on Bond Street, you’ll find The Ralph Lauren Given Tree for Bond Street. The five-metre-tall tree has been decorated in support of The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity and allows visitors to make donations as they pass by.
Other stores up and down Bond Street have also unveiled their own Christmas decorations. It’s a charmingly festive spot to check out all manner of festive displays and even do some Christmas shopping. (But maybe only for someone really special – after all, these are luxury shops darling…)
🕰️ The CHANEL N°5 Bond Street Christmas lights will be on display until January 12, 2025.
📍 The best station for those visiting the lights is Bond Street.
