Whilst the weather has started to encounter a bit of an identity crisis, one thing that we can rely upon to bring the heat to the capital city this week is the London Taco Experience. This fiery fiesta will land in London on Saturday (September 19), uniting some of the capital’s tastiest taco traders.

The event will be taco-ing over Riverside East in Stratford, and will see the likes of Taco Dave, Nopalito, MexClub, Polanco, and Los Gordos set up shop for the one-day-only extravaganza. It’s all set to be pretty spec-taco-lar, really. And if you take just one piece of advice from me today, let it be this: go armed with an empty stomach and some very stretchy trousers – you’ll be making ample use of both.
Riverside East’s open-air venue lends itself as a pretty dreamy spot to sip tequila and stuff your face with tacos. And the iconic ArcelorMittal Orbit makes for a rather perfect backdrop. There will be margaritas, micheladas, and mezcal aplenty – and visitors will be kept thoroughly entertained with the likes of live DJs, hot sauce showcases, and a live Mariachi band.
With two sittings to choose from (11am-4pm or 5pm-8pm), it’s certainly set to be a day that’s packed full of fun and flavour in equal measure. The experience comes courtesy of the team at Street Eats (the brains behind many large scale cultural events), so it’s sure to be the perfect way to spice up your weekend.
