Calling all roast enthusiasts, fans of stonking slabs of meat, potato aficionados, and the general hungry denizens of London. A new Sunday Roast has arrived in London that’s set to become the next hot Sunday ticket. With bottomless sides, three sumptuous roast meats to choose from, and a Bloody Mary trolley (!), you don’t want to miss the recently launched 108 Brasserie Sunday Roast.
Tucked away down a charming Marylebone cobbled street, the 108 Brasserie is hidden inside the Marylebone Hotel. The ivy-strewn terrace is the perfect spot for a cocktail date with friends any day of the week. But it’s inside the restaurant that the sumptuous Sunday lunching experience awaits.
Kick things off with a glass of bubbles or a Bloody Mary from the Bloody Mary trolley, made just the way you like it. And you’re getting a starter, right? If so, choose from the likes of beef tartare with quail egg, crispy capers and toasted sourdough, Devon white crab with toasted soda bread, watercress and apple salad among other dishes. If not, you’ll have to somehow choose from the day’s roast specials, which could include West Country minted lamb rump, roasted rib beef, or a half roasted thyme and rosemary corn-fed chicken.
Bottomless sides
Now, at the 108 Brasserie they know that the roast potatoes and the Yorkshire puddings are as much of a draw as the roast meats themselves. That’s why their roasts come with an ever-replenishing serving of Yorkshire puddings and roasties. Just ask for more, and your wish will be granted. Keep ’em coming, we say! That’s in addition to the requisite root vegetable mash, spring veggies, and plenty of gravy, of course…
But if you somehow need even more sides, the 108 Brasserie Sunday Roast has you sorted. You can also order cauliflower cheese with Pitchfork Cheddar crumb, pigs in blankets with mustard jus, and plenty more.
Try to save room for dessert, though! You won’t want to miss the classic vanilla crème brûlée with English shortbread, or the traditional sticky toffee pudding with clotted cream ice cream – to name but a few options. Is anyone else salivating?
Did you say Bloody Mary trolley?
Yup! Because let’s be honest; sometimes we turn up to Sunday Roasts with a pounding head from the recklessness of a Saturday night out. There are few better hangover cures, after all, than a mountain of meat and carbohydrates smothered in gravy. But 108 Brasserie is turning things up a notch in the form of their roving Bloody Mary trolley.
Moving from table to table around the restaurant, the trolley acts as a saviour in the mist. Beckon it over and it turns up stocked to the brim with all the necessary spirits, mixers, and garnishes. The trolley operator (0r, ‘master of the wheels’) will shake up the drink for you, fresh to order, it to your exacting specifications. As they spin around and roll the trolley away, you’ll take a sip and all will be well in the world once again. (Unless you have too many Bloody Mary’s – they only help in moderate amounts!)
You can enjoy the 108 Brasserie Sunday Roast from 12-8:30pm on (you guessed it) Sundays. Head here to book your spot.
