Experience the real Secret London with a ride on this creepy, abandoned Royal Mail railway line.
The brand spanking new Postal Museum has resurrected a section of the track deep under London and you can now ‘experience the hidden history of Mail Rail in thrilling motion’. Oh, and did we mention organisers also promise riders ‘a theatrical surprise or two’. Intrigued? (See our full guide to museums in London.)
For the first time ever, this subterranean network of tunnels and tracks is open to the public. You’ll be able to take a wild ride on the mail rail’s renovated tracks under Mount Pleasant. They’ve designed a nifty little train to carry punters through the hidden history of the ‘first social network’. It’s London’s answer to Disneyland. With less adults dressed as cartoon animals, obviously.

Opening hours: Monday to Sunday, 10am–5pm.
Price: It’s £17.05 for an adult ticket or £10.45 for a child. Purchase them here.
