London’s best wing bar, Wingmans, has launched its very own bottomless brunch.
My boyfriend and I were discussing what “our restaurant” would be the other day—you know, like couples have “their song”—and we settled, very romantically, on Wingmans.
It all started when we tried Wingmans at Winter Wonderland when we’d only been dating a few weeks, and believe me when I say: Wingmans’ Buffalo Wings are not a sexy thing to be eating in the early days of a relationship. But we embraced it. And that’s when I knew he was the o— okay no, I’m not finishing that sentence. But I did finish the wings and go up for seconds.
Shortly after, the team invited us to the grand opening of their very first restaurant in Kilburn, and the love affair continued. These wings are impossible to beat, and you’ve just got to trust me on that one. (Although you only have to look at the results of the last few WingFest awards to back up that statement.)
As you can imagine, the news that they were opening a branch in Soho was music to mine ears, not least because they launched an epic bottomless brunch to celebrate. (The fact that it’s far more convenient for me to get to than Kilburn has nothing to do with it, I swear.)
In exchange for 35 of your finest pounds, you’ll get 90 minutes of unlimited wings, rosemary fries and your choice of Aperol Spritz, Wingmans lager/cider, or their cocktail of the month. And, included in the price, is the truly immersive experience of having your mind totally blown. It’s an absolute steal.
Wingmans’ Soho branch also has the added benefit of having ample outdoor seating, in amongst the now-famously alfresco-diningised streets of Soho. So you’re safe to dine at your earliest convenience. (Of course the weather might say otherwise, but we can hope.)
Anyway, let’s talk about these wings. You’ll have the option of Buffalo, BBQ, Shanghai Oriental, Bangcoq, Schez One, Jamaican’Me Crazy and Shanghai cauliflower wings. All top choices, of course—but pick wisely. These wings are bottomless for an entire hour and a half, so you’re going to want to be conscious of your spice threshold and act accordingly. BBQ is a safe bet if you’re quite pathetic (and I mean that with genuine affection).
Paired with limitless fries and Aperol Spritz (or whichever less good option you go for), it’s the perfect weekend activity. Sessions take place at 12pm, 2pm & 4pm every Saturday and Sunday (and Bank Holiday Monday, just as a treat), so you’ll have a properly boozy day out and be home at a reasonable hour.
