Calling all burger-lovers and carnivores. Whyte Rushen is bringing his Instagram-famous burgers to the 70’s inspired environs of The Standard’s ground-floor bar and terrace hangout spot, Double Standard. And in a nod to the venue’s name, he’ll be taking his famous smash-burgers and doubling them up. That’s twice the meat. Twice the cheese. And twice the mess.
As a one-night-only takeover, there’s no menu – it’s a burger, fries, and drink. But it’s also so much more than just that. Alongside Rushen’s infamous gooey AF smash-burgers, will be hand-cut loaded luxury fries. Fried in duck fat (the best of the fats), they’ll be piled high with fresh truffle, aged balsamic mayo, crispy onions, chives, and hot sauce. And the drink? A gorgeously sippable Rye-ball Cocktail that combines Bulleit Bourbon with Luxardo Aperitivo. Not your typical burger value meal!
The Whyte Rushen x The Standard burger party takes place on Saturday, August 6, from 2pm until late. Tickets are £35 each – unless you want to go all out and add caviar to the whole affair, which adds £15 to the price. Hey, no one ever said caviar was cheap!
Can’t make it to the Whyte Rushen Burger Party?
For those unable to grab a ticket, or who want to recreate the experience at home, Rushen has partnered up with DELLI, the new, community-led food app, to release his first-ever batch of burger sauce. Inspired by the kind of burger sauce you’d get late night at one of those Golden Arches restaurants, it’s the perfect burger accompaniment. It can elevate a sad-looking patty, or bring an already glorious burger to new heights.
Head to The Standard’s website to grab a ticket for the Whyte Rushen x The Standard Double Standard takeover. Tickets go on sale at 5:00pm, July 26.
Head to DELLI’s website for more information on their platform, and to grab some of the sauce before it all disappears. The sauce will launch on the app on July 27.
