With one of the best views of the London skyline, Hampstead Heath’s Parliament Hill is a popular spot for weekend walkers and sunset chasers. And even though the climb is difficult, the spectacular view from this south-east corner of the park more than makes up for it.
15. Hampstead Heath Swimming Ponds
Popular throughout the summer (although open all-year round), the Swimming Ponds of Hampstead Heath are a great way to cool off in the warmer months. There are also great benefits to cold-water swimming and people visit for a dip throughout autumn, winter, and spring, too! There’s a mixed pond, the ladies’ pond, and the men’s pond, and booking is advised throughout the summer. The mixed pond is located on the Hampstead side of the heath, while the ladies’ and men’s ponds are located on the Highgate side.

Although located in Golders Hill Park, this additional green space is located right next door to Hampstead Heath, providing fantastic views of both the village and its lush surrounding areas. The beloved lido first opened back in 1938 and is now open to the public 365 days a year.
