Earlier this year, it was announced that Sex Pistols would be reuniting to play a string of shows at Bush Hall in a bid to save the struggling venue.
These very shows are taking place now, with the first of three taking place last night to great acclaim. Now, the group have announced they will take to another London venue to play classic record Never Mind The Bollocks again next month.
Tickets for Sex Pistols in London
Sex Pistols with Frank Carter will take to the stage at the O2 Kentish Town Forum on September 26, with pre-sale for tickets happening now, and a general sale starting here this Friday (August 16).
It will mark their fourth show with Frank Carter standing in for original singer John Lydon (aka Johnny Rotten), with the prospect first announced at the beginning of June. This followed the news earlier in the year that legendary West London venue Bush Hall was facing closure, having set up a crowdfunder.
Speaking on the Bush Hall shows and new show announcement, guitarist Steve Jones said: “The response to the Bush Hall shows has been overwhelming and it’s a privilege to help out a local venue like that. And it became obvious that there are many more fans who want to see us.”
“Playing with Frank has been such a pleasure that we wanted to extend the fun. So Kentish Town, here we come.”
Sex Pistols are formed with guitarist Steve Jones, drummer Paul Cook, and bassist Glen Matlock, and have been fronted by Frank Carter in the place of John Lydon. Carter is the frontman of Frank Carter & The Rattlesnakes, and has previously fronted bands Pure Love and Gallows.
Tickets go on general sale for Sex Pistols with Frank Carter at the O2 Forum Kentish Town on Friday, August 16 at 9am. You’ll find them here.
