Sephora UK has officially announced the opening dates for its first-ever boutique-style stores in Central London, marking a major new chapter for the global beauty giant’s expansion across the capital.
The LVMH-owned retailer has confirmed that its new concept stores will launch on Carnaby Street on Thursday, July 23, followed closely by a second opening at Old Spitalfields Market on Thursday, July 30 2026.

Unlike Sephora’s larger destination stores, these boutique-style locations are designed with convenience in mind. The concept has been shaped directly by customer feedback, drawing on insights gathered through in-store conversations, social media engagement, and post-visit surveys.
The result is a more streamlined, flexible shopping experience that caters to modern beauty habits. Think curated product edits, quicker visits, and on-hand expert advice, ideal for shoppers looking to browse or pick up essentials without committing to a full-scale retail trip.
Sephora’s new London stores are designed around how people shop today

Sarah Boyd, Managing Director of Sephora UK, described the launch as a significant milestone for the brand’s UK journey.
“This summer marks a major milestone in Sephora UK’s journey as we continue to bring our unique beauty experience to more communities across the country,” she said.
“We’re proud to be introducing our new boutique format in London, a concept shaped directly by customer feedback and designed to complement the way people shop today.
“Whether customers are looking for a destination beauty experience or a quick beauty discovery on the go, our ambition remains the same – to inspire, educate and empower through an inclusive and innovative retail experience.”
Carnaby Street and Spitalfields are at the heart of the Sephora store openings
Both locations are fitting choices for the new concept. Carnaby Street, known for its vibrant retail scene and trend-led footfall, will host the first boutique opening on July 23.
A week later, the second store will arrive at Old Spitalfields Market—another hotspot blending heritage with contemporary shopping culture.
The staggered openings are expected to build momentum across London’s beauty scene, particularly during the height of summer when footfall in these areas peaks.
Since Sephora UK’s return to the high street in 2023, each store launch has become a cultural moment in its own right. Previous openings have drawn crowds with a mix of entertainment, appearances from emerging talent, curated queue experiences, and food from local favourites.
These boutique launches are set to follow suit, promising more than just retail therapy. Beauty fans can expect immersive opening day events that tap into local culture while celebrating Sephora’s community-driven approach.
