The Rooftop St. James has transformed into a gorgeous winter chalet, featuring a tasty Alpine menu and lovely London views.
This central London rooftop is the perfect spot to get snug this winter, fit with twinkling lights and woodland decorations. Found in a glass conservatory atop The Trafalgar St. James Hotel, this cosy pop-up is sure to keep the festive spirit alive, even in January.
The food has been inspired by French, Italian, Swiss and Austrian cuisine, resulting in some serious après-ski vibes. There’s all the typical meats and cheeses of course, as well as homemade gnocchi gratin with roasted tomato and mozzarella, mac ‘n’ cheese with apple sauce, and tasty tiramisu.
Vegans needn’t feel left out, mind. To celebrate Veganuary, The Rooftop St. James have added a plant-based fondue to their menu, made with almond milk, tahini, vegan cheese, lemon and white wine. They’ll also be serving up a vegan antipasti platter with beetroot falafel, soy and sesame glazed button mushrooms, truffle cauliflower dip, pickled vegetables and BBQ vegan sausage.
So tuck into fromage or fauxmage—and perhaps a glass or two of Champagne—and stare out at stunning views of Nelson’s Column, St Martin-in-the-Fields and beyond.
The vegan menu will be available from January 4.
