Catch Stunning Candlelit Concerts Inside These Beautiful London Churches

Find some inner peace with these classical concerts by candlelight.

London life can get pretty hectic, which is why we love a precious oasis of calm whenever we can find one. And praise be: some of the oldest and most beautiful churches in London now offer gorgeous, candlelit concerts to soothe the heart of any harried urbanite. (Header image: @mitchellcolver)

From St. Martin-in-the-Fields, a 500-year-old church on the edge of Trafalgar Square, to the Wren-designed St. James Church off bustling Piccadilly, you can find some classical peace amidst the urban jungle.

Your moments of zen might include an orchestra playing Vivaldi’s Four Seasons, a string quartet performing Bach, or a bit of Chopin and Champagne. It’s the perfect opportunity to turn your phone off (not on silent, off-off!) and let yourself be in the moment completely – after all, it’s so much easier to practice some mindfulness when there’s actually something nice happening.
