The iconic paper bags have received a festive makeover!
Preparing themselves for what’s sure to be a busy festive season, Primark has revamped their well-known paper shopping bags with a Christmassy twist – and they’re going to be absolute lifesavers come December. Doubling up as not only shopping bags, but wrapping paper, too, the inventive new design has been created with the environment in mind – aiming to reduce the amount of paper waste this Christmas (and save you a few bob!).
Not only that, but it’s completely recyclable, too, just like their regular bags – and features an aesthetically-pleasing design that will look gorgeous under any tree. Each candy-striped bag features the prompt “this bag makes great wrapping paper”, and even has scissor guidelines at the top and bottom to help you make the most of the paper.
The new bags have been well received by savvy shoppers on Facebook, with many calling the bags “handy” and some even saying they match perfectly with their ribbons and tags.
The news comes as Primark CEO Paul Marchant confirmed the business is looking to open for 24-hours-a-day throughout December, helping the business to regain lost income from the November lockdown, and also take the pressure off demand when shoppers return to the high street.
The festive bags are set to roll out in stores across England upon its re-opening in December, with shoppers already spotting them in Welsh and Scottish stores this month.
