AC/DC announcement yesterday, Pearl Jam today… it’s all shaping up to be a summer of stadium rock in London as the legends of Seattle announce their new album and support world tour.
Pearl Jam will take to the Tottenham Hotspur stadium in London on June 29 for the Dark Matter tour, which is the name of the new album dropping on April 19 – their first since Gigaton in 2020. Manchester is the only other date on the UK tour announced thus far, with a date at the new Co-op Arena pencilled in for June 25.
How do I get tickets for Pearl Jam?
You’ll need to register for tickets on either Live Nation or Ticketmaster by February 18, then you’ll be notified via about the sale. A start date of February 23 is listed on the Ticketmaster website.
As for support acts on the tour, there’s a real mix of ’em announced already. London will be treated to the voice of Richard Ashcroft (of The Verve fame) while Manchester will enjoy a performance from The Murder Capital. Deep Sea Diver, Glen Hansard, and Pixies (!) will make up the support acts across the world tour, but who you see depends on where you see them. Dark Matter
Dark Matter was recorded in Rick Rubins’s Shangri-La studio in Malibu, where the band holed up and put together in the space of three weeks. It is the band’s 12th studio album; sitting among a mean back catalogue of records including Ten (1991), Vs (1993), Pearl Jam (2006) and more. The band are classed as one of the Big Four ‘Grunge’ bands alongside Nirvana, Soundgarden, and Alice In Chains.
Pearl Jam is comprised of vocalist & guitarist Eddie Vedder, fellow guitarists Mike McCready & Stone Gossard, bassist Jeff Ament, and drummer Matt Cameron. Their new album Dark Matter drops on April 19th, and the Tottenham Hotspur stadium show is their first in London since playing British Summer Time Festival in Hyde Park in 2022.
