We’re all on a highway to hell Wembley this summer as AC/DC, after plenty of online teasing over the last week, announce their first UK dates in eight years. Their Power Up tour is making its way over to Europe, and follows their return to touring with US dates last year.
The Aussie rockers will take our shores in July with a double-header at Wembley Stadium on July 3 and July 7. Alongside their dates in London, Thunderstruck fans will have the chance to catch them in Dublin, Paris, Seville, Munich, and many more locations in the tour comprised of 21 dates in 10 different countries.
Their lineup will consist of vocalist Brian Johnson; shorts-donning guitarist Angus Young and his nephew Stevie Young (who replaced founding member Malcolm Young); drummer Matt Laug; and bassist Christ Chaney, who will “carry the torch” for Cliff Williams, who has retired from touring with the band.
Power Up tour supports their 2020 record of the same title, and AC/DC marked their comeback to touring in October 2023 with an appearance at Power Trip festival in the USA, which also featured Metallica, Guns N Roses, Iron Maiden, Judas Priest and TOOL.
AC/DC last played in the UK on the ‘Rock Or Bust’ tour, which included Axl Rose of Guns N Roses on vocals, filling in for Brian Johnson. London is the only UK city with dates announced on the Power Up tour.
