Sure, when you think of brunch you might dream of avocado toast or pancake stacks. But why limit yourself? After all, many brunches are had far closer to lunch, or even dinner, than breakfast time. So why not have bottomless pasta for brunch? Especially when there’s also bottomless bubbles right alongside…
This February, London’s ‘Italian kitchen and pasta workshop’ Officina 00 has launched exactly that. Founders Enzo Mirto and Elia Sebregondi are tempting London’s brunchers to enjoy a new brunch menu, which is “rooted in the traditions of Italian family-style feasting.” And there’s no need to wait until Sunday, either, with the brunch menu available every Saturday and Sunday.
Bottomless pasta brunch
Priced at £39, the pasta brunch treats diners brunch-ers to a welcome snack (you know, to kick-start the appetite) before doling out bottomless pasta and unlimited pours of Rialto Prosecco Frizzante. Or you can upgrade to bottomless spritzes for just an extra £6 each.
The snack-y dishes include the likes of panko lasagne with truffle, aged provolone and aioli and croquettes with wild broccoli, sausage and smoked provola. But we know it’s the pasta you want to know more about. Choices include spaghetti maradona with anchovies, garlic, chilli and pangrattato and killer bucatine with nduja, tomato paste and burrata. If you’ve somehow still got room at the end of all that, you can also enjoy tiramisu and profiterole dishes for dessert.
Said founders Enzo Mirto and Elia Sebregondi:
“Brunch has been something we’ve wanted to introduce for a while, and now feels like the perfect moment. We wanted to share with our guests how we celebrate weekends back home in Italy so we’ve created a menu of dishes we grew up eating.”
The new bottomless pasta brunch is available at both Officina 00 locations. Make your booking for some Italian feasting here.
You’ll find Officina 00 at 156 Old Street, EC1V 9BW and 67 Whitfield Street, W1T 4DE. The nearest stations are Old Street and Goodge Street.
