We’ve been treated to some great World Cup anthems in the past, and this year, a whole soundtrack album is coming. It’s now just a week until the first game, Mexico vs South Africa at the Estadio Azteca, kicks off, and FIFA has confirmed that a full roster of artists have contributed music for the full-length piece.
Among the most notable names is Shakira, who already, of course, has an iconic World Cup track to her name, with Waka Waka (It’s Time For Africa) still blasted at full volume more than 15 years on. Her track Dai Dai with Burna Boy is out now, and will feature on the album.
Stormzy and The Rolling Stones also appear on the upcoming collection. Stormzy’s track, Blessings, features Fridayy and Angel, and the Stones’ song is an In The Stars remix.
