Live Forever? I’m just trying to survive until I maybe get on the property ladder, mate. If you’ve made it and are looking for somewhere to call your very own home, then let us point you towards a three-bedroom London house that’s heavily inspired by the album cover to Definitely Maybe by Oasis.
Designed by an Oasis megafan who designed his living room to mirror the album, the space is now for sale with the owner deciding to pass on his creation to somebody else. I guess he is free to do Whatever he wants…
Now, once the house is purchased, it’s obviously up to the next owner to keep it looking in pristine Definitely Maybe condition. Thinking of switching it up? At your own risk my friend – don’t say we didn’t warn you if you get a phone call from an angry pair of brothers Gallagher…
A quick glance at the living room will instantly see you drawing parallels with the album cover, with a Burt Bacharach and Colin Bell photographs firmly in place along with the plants and Epiphone guitar sat in place with the pink flamingo on the mantelpiece giving it that final bit of Oasis-ification.
While the original photo for the album may have taken place in guitarist Bonehead’s house in West Disbury, you’ll find this spruced-up living room in Abbey Wood, which may not be near to the album’s birthplace but does give you scope to quickly Slide Away onto the Elizabeth line. If you missed out on tickets for the shows next summer, you can just put on your own show (a housewarming party).
Who knows? Once you’ve bought this you might be Married With Children next…
