M&S Has Launched A £35 Food Box Full Of Treats And Essentials, And It’s An Absolute Life Saver

Just when you’d given up on your weekly food shop…

As thousands of Brits struggle to book a delivery shop with supermarkets, the likes of Morrisons and M&S have been rustling up alternatives to feed the nation – and they’re absolute lifesavers for those who can’t make it to the shops.

Creating a brand new box for just £35, Marks and Spencers have gathered household essentials (including Percy Pigs, obvs) for the new product, which is available for delivery across the country in the hopes of helping those who are finding it near impossible to book an online grocery shop.

There are two options to choose from, veggie and non-veggie (although the veggie box is currently sold out), and each option is packed up with treats, dried goods and tinned essentials to help you muster up a few meals. Both boxes are fairly similar, with the only difference being non-veggie goods and substituted with vegetarian-friendly options of the same variety.

Here’s what’s in the box:

  • Fusilli (500g)
  • Baked beans (220g)
  • Tomato and herb pasta sauce (550g)
  • Beef Bolognese pour over pasta sauce (340g)
  • Chunky vegetable soup (400g)
  • Basmati rice (500g)
  • Cream of tomato soup (400g)
  • Chunky steak (206g)
  • Rich roast instant coffee (100g)
  • English breakfast tea bags (125g/50 bags)
  • Scottish all butter homebake style shortbread squares (200g)
  • Dark chocolate (100g)
  • Milk chocolate (100g)
  • Prime corned beef (205g)
  • Wild Alaskan red salmon (213g)
  • Vegetable curry (400g)
  • Roasted and salted large peanuts (200g)
  • Giant milk chocolate buttons (150g)
  • Percy Pig™ (170g)
  • Soft white 2-ply toilet tissue (pack of 4)

While the boxes do not feature any fresh produce like Morrison’s own food box (which is also available as veggie or non-veggie), they do include a number of handy essentials for those unable to leave the house, and in particular, those who are currently self-isolating with symptoms who may be unable to put together a fresh meal.

Each box is available for ‘nominated day’ delivery which costs £3.99, and customers are limited to one box per person to allow as many people as possible to benefit from the boxes. Purchase yours here.
