There’s a lot more to Paddington than train stations and statues of iconic bears you know. And chief amongst your reasons to go west is the ravishing rooftop bar and (above) street food hangout, Pergola Paddington.
Now, Pergola is constantly changing. It has a new identity, theme, or must-visit attraction with almost every season. But sometimes, they like to keep it simple, and when they re-open on April 20 it will be all about the summer vibes. Sure, it may not be summer yet, and the weather may still be a bit chilly, but they’re promising up “long days of rooftop relaxation, delicious cocktails and lively late-night dancing.”
The space got a full tropical vibe makeover in 2022, and they’ve kept much of the vibe the same. They’ve still got the sandy-coloured décor, plenty of greenery and foliage, rattan furniture, and cabanas that make you feel like you’re hanging out at an island resort – in Paddington.
To cap it all off, the venue is bonkers-ly massive. This ain’t no corner rooftop where fifty people are trying to squeeze together in a tiny space. You have to see it, to believe it – that’s how enormous it is.
Food and drink at Pergola Paddington
Now, if there’s one thing that defines us Londoners, it’s that we won’t stay somewhere long without decent food and drinks. So, obviously Pergola Paddington had better be dishing out the goods if they want us to hang out all day, and well into the night. Enter, the trifecta of food vendors that will be keeping you fed through your stay: Lucky’s Hot Chicken, Salt Shed, and Izakaya by Temaki Bros. So, all in on place you’ll be able to choose from fried chicken sandos, smoky barbecue delights, burgers, bao, gyoza, and more.
And to drink, you can thank their partnership with Olmeca Altos Tequila and London Essence for the menu of “refreshing tequila cocktails, exciting spritzes, and carefully crafted non-alcoholic blends.” They’ll also be serving up plenty of classic cocktails, twists on old favourites, and all sorts of summer-y palate pleasers.
Once they’re open, they’ll be hosting events left, right, and centre, enticing you back with unmissable promotions and activities. Keep an eye on their ‘What’s On’ page to find out more as they start launching their programme for the year. At the moment, we can confirm that every weekend they’ll be hosting their bottomless brunch – just £35 nets you 90 minutes of free-flowing bubbles, Aperol Spritz, and beer.
So, what are you waiting for – we’ll see you there! You’re getting the first round, right?
