Take a peek at Pergola’s swish new joint.
We know you love a bit of rooftop revelry, so this should be music to your ears. Pergola have unveiled plans for their new rooftop hangout, perched atop the summit of Olympia London. Much like their seasonal hangout in Paddington, this one will be stuffed full of street food and enviable floral displays. Unlike Paddington, this Pergola Olympia will be a year-round affair – one which also offers peachy views across the city when it opens on September 27th.
Billed as a “botanical bolthole”, Pergola Olympia is set to open on the roof of the grand Victorian Olympia. Inside, you’ll find food from burger bosses Patty & Bun, seafood from Claw, and pizza from lovely Shoreditch eatery Passo. Whilst you’re feasting on those, you can also feast on the views; Pergola Olympia sports floor to ceiling glass walls, perfect for panoramas of the city. The venue holds 500 punters, and a huge bar will mix up the drinks, which are best enjoyed amongst the trailing ivy and floral planters of this rooftop hangout.
As with the other Pergola offerings, group bookings are free of charge, up to the frankly ludicrous limit of 199 people (if you have that many friends to invite, you’re clearly lying to yourself). Pergola Olympia is open for bookings from today, but walk-ins are also welcome. They’ve also got day beds for the ultra-lazy, and you can sign up on the website for a free glass of prosecco punch.
It’s part of the £700 million that’s being poured into Olympia to make it a “destination for events, creativity, and entrepreneurship”. Presumably that includes a District line stop that’s open more than twice a week? We can but hope…
