Dig out your flip-flops and dust off your picnic blankets, folks, because this Saturday (April 6), the temperature in the capital city is going to reach – drum roll, please… 20°C. Officially making it hotter here in London than it will be in LA. Not bad, right?
Now look, I’m well aware that 20°C isn’t exactly a heatwave, but us Londoners have endured a long (and we mean looong) winter, and so the prospect of not having to wear a coat – even if it is just for one day – is pretty darn exciting for us right now.
According to BBC Weather, London will be enjoying their 20 degrees whilst LA will be experiencing highs of only 18°C. Can you believe it? I know there’s not a lot in it, but when you’ve spent the last six months clinging onto your hot water bottle for dear life, every degree counts.
So, with the weather finally beginning to cooperate, prepare to slap on your factor 50, flock to your nearest beer garden, and just hope and pray that the sun is here to stay. If you need any help on how to spend a sunny day in the city, you know where we are.
Now, it’s still only Tuesday (and we live in the UK), so there’s every chance that the forecast may change before the weekend. But until it does, you’ll find me out on my teeny-tiny London patio, captioning every single Instagram photo ‘Costa del Wandsworth’. Happy t-shirt weather, Londoners. We actually made it.
