
A new afternoon tea is treating guests to a taste of quintessentially British luxury aboard one of the city’s most iconic attractions. Visitors to the lastminute.com London Eye will soon be able to enjoy afternoon tea as part of their visit, as they journey 135 metres into the sky above the city. The new afternoon tea will kick off on Friday, May 16, with bookings available for 1 & 3pm. The special experience is available from Friday to Sunday, as well as throughout the week during the May half-term holidays.

As you take to the sky during the London Eye afternoon tea, you’ll be able to see the gamut of views from your London Eye pod. Thanks to the 360° views of the city, it’s probably the most picturesque afternoon tea you’ll find in the capital.

Don’t get too distracted by the sights, though, because you’ll have a delicious array of “sandwiches, sweet and savoury bites, plus an array of tea and coffee options” to tuck into. The menu features the likes of seasonal quiches and charming finger sandwiches as well as lemon meringue tart, mini carrot cupcake, and the requisite scones with clotted cream and jam.
Fancy making it an extra-indulgent affair? You can also add a glass of champagne to your experience. And to ensure you’re not rushed as you enjoy the experience, you’ll be taken on two rotations of the aerial tour. That’s more than enough time to sip and savour the sights.
