Yes – you could actually walk around London and take in all the beautiful landmarks. But if the day comes and you just don’t have the energy, there’s now the chance to scuttle through them by way of sandwiches and cakes at this London landmarks afternoon tea.
Setting up shop at The Dilly Hotel, diners will be treated to the most London-themed spread imaginable that’s all glued together by, well, the glue of the city – a red London bus!
London afternoon tea at The Dilly
Wade through a sightseeing tour of sweet treats at The Dilly, which features an array of landmarks to sum up the city rather well before you go ahead and bite into the dish. First up, you’ll be digging into the sarnies, with numbers including pastrami & horseradish mayonnaise and smoked salmon with cucumber. But the funniest part of every afternoon tea lies in the sweet stuff, right?
Beaming at us with its unmistakable beady pods is a model of the London Eye in the form of a mud cake; which sits beside the Big Ben landmark and a royal crown jewel-shaped black forest cake. Besides this, there will be a model of The Dilly Hotel itself which presents you an array of delightful treats – a walnut & honey cake, strawberry & ginger bus, and a milk chocolate creméux. And of course, since this is an afternoon tea we’re talking about, there will be plain and raisin-filled scones served up with strawberry jam and clotted cream.
As for the drinks, you can look forward to sipping on a cocktail from The Dilly, which includes the Buckingham Bliss; the Secret Garden, and the Mayfair Mist. You can also pair the afternoon tea with a glass of bubbly, and of course, you’ll select your tea from a sublime choice of 10.
