Could this be the beginning of the return? Oasis fans (aka everyone) are beside themselves with excitement with Liam Gallagher’s announcement of a new tour to celebrate the 30-year anniversary of Oasis’ debut album, Definitely Maybe. Liam Gallagher is set to tour the country during 2024 with three huge gigs taking place at The O2. But we reckon there will surely be many more dates added around the country to deal with likely HUGE demand.
The Burnage-born star teased the news on social media over the weekend, posting a setlist containing the full tracklist of the iconic Oasis album, which was first released in August 1994. Liam will perform the ‘Definitely Maybe’ album in full for the first time, along with some select b-sides from the era.
The sets will be packed to the brim with classics – ‘Rock ‘n’ Roll Star’, ‘Live Forever’, ‘Supersonic’ and ‘Cigarettes & Alcohol’, to name but a few. But it will also be a rare opportunity to see other album tracks that have rarely, if ever, been performed since the mid-‘90s. Among them are the likes of fan-favourites such as ‘Up In The Sky’ and ‘Digsy’s Dinner’.
The ‘Definitely Maybe’ tour will kick off in Sheffield on June 1, 2024, before heading to London, Cardiff, Glasgow and Dublin. He’ll take to the stage at the impressively vast O2 Arena on June 6, 7, and 10.
The Definitely, Maybe tour comes in the wake of Gallagher’s impressive Knebworth performances back in 2022. And he’s already promising it’s going to be even bigger and better than those shows.
