It’s been four years since Pret revolutionised London’s caffeine consumption with their (nearly) all-you-can-drink coffee subscription service. And now Leon wants a slice of the action, too.
The organic-focused fast-food chain has just launched their very own subscription service, offering customers the same daily allowance of drinks as Pret (five a day), but for £5 cheaper.
‘Roast Rewards’ is the name, and quenching the thirst of caffeine-deprived Londoners is the game. The subscription will cost just £25 a month and will include up to five hot drinks a day, as well as 20% off breakfast and lunch items. Leon has said that members will also receive other perks and discounts along the way, as well as a loyalty scheme where customers can earn points.
Leon has been serving up delicious and nutritious fast food for twenty years. Having launched in London back in 2004, the chain now has 150 branches across the UK. While Pret still monopolises the coffee scene with their 500 UK branches; the £5 difference a month may well encourage Londoners to venture that little bit further for their daily caffeine fix.
Leon’s managing director, Mac Plumpton, said: “We’re so excited to unveil the UK’s most affordable coffee subscription. Get ready for a service packed with flavour, value and great coffee.”
