If I’m being entirely honest, I haven’t looked at my bank balance yet this year. After spending my way through Christmas and New Year’s like a madman, I’m frankly terrified to know how little money I have left to make it to the end of the month – let alone the end of the week. But in true Londoner fashion, I’m not about to let my money, or lack thereof, stop me from enjoying the city! As such, here are the best January deals, discounts, and freebies for you (and me) to take advantage of this month.
Let’s kick off 2026 with a bang – without decimating our wallets…
1. Free beer – for pull-ups

If you feel like earning yourself a free drink, head on over to London’s newest enormous sports bar, BOX Piccadilly. There, guests do pull-ups to reward themselves with a free pint. One pull-up nets you a half pint, while a full pull-up will get you a well-deserved full pint of beer for free. Be quick, though, the offer is only available for one weekend!

2. Free music nights with stunning views

This January, the Sky Garden is keeping party season going with free entry to music nights throughout the month. Enjoy a live DJ and stunning views of London as you dance away the gloomiest month of the year.

3. Free coffee

If you’re craving a hot, and FREE, cup of coffee to warm up this winter, and you were born in January, you’re in luck! That’s because the folks over at Grind are here to brighten up your birthday with free java. What’s to hate about that?!

4. Free champagne

Over at The Kensington, the free drinks are a little more impressive this January. Tables of four or more people dining à la carte at Town House or enjoying the Let Us Eat Cake Afternoon Tea will receive a free bottle of Charles Heidsieck Champagne. And if you’ve got an even bigger group, tables of eight will receive a free Magnum of said champagne! (But the latter does require a £400 minimum spend – so £50 each…)

5. Free beer

Here’s another giveaway for those of you who were born in January. Across all of its locations, BOXPARK is giving away free beer to January-born Londoners and a friend on Fridays and Saturdays throughout January. All you have to do is rock up to the bar and claim your free Madrí Excepcional 0.0% or 4.6%.

6. Indian dining at throwback prices

Cinnamon Club is celebrating 25 years of service by taking us back in time to 2001. They’re bringing back their original menu and prices with a special Retro Menu where dishes start at just £5 (!).

7. Lobster and bubbles

Craving some lobster and some prosecco without the exorbitant price tag? You’re in luck! Across all of their restaurants, the Drake & Morgan group now serves a new weekday ‘Reef, Beef & Bubbles’ offer. Diners can enjoy a 6oz steak, half a lobster, chunky chips or greens, and a glass of Prosecco, Asahi Dry, Asahi Dry 0.0% or homemade lemonade – for under £25.

8. Pastry of the month

This January, PAUL Bakery is cutting the cost of its new ‘View of the Month’. Londoners can enjoy a sweet treat in the form of the Iced Brioche Bun for just £2 throughout the month. Don’t mind if I do!

9. Half-price curry

This January, KOKUM has launched its Curry Club offer, allowing diners to enjoy even more of its menu. The Curry Club offer means you can buy one curry and get your second half price. All you have to do is mention the “KOKUM Curry Club” when booking or ordering. The offer is valid across the entire curry menu.

10. Luxurious Asian food at a steal

Tattu London is prepping for the cold, gloomy weather by slashing its prices. Londoners are invited to visit and indulge in luxurious modern Asian cuisine with an impressive 30% off the à la carte menu as part of its Winter Sale. Plus, they’ve given the restaurant a wintry-themed makeover, transforming “its iconic pink blossom trees to crimson red, creating a romantic winter-themed dining experience”.

11. Go fishing for a deal

The Mayfair Chippy is looking back into its past for this deal, with a throwback price for its most popular item. Diners can enjoy The Mayfair Classic for £13.50 – the same price as it was back in 2015 when The Mayfair Chippy first opened!
They’re also treating gin-lovers to some cut-price drinks for ‘Gin-uary’. Diners at The Mayfair Chippy Knightsbridge can enjoy a 2-4-1 deal on all gin cocktails to celebrate a gin-fuelled start to the year.

12. A breezy Japanese lunch

London’s popular mini-chain of robatayaki restaurants, ROKA, is here to save our lunch-time hunger with a special express lunch menu. Pop into one of their locations, and you can enjoy three courses for just £26 – with dishes ranging from avocado maki to ROKA’s popular dishes from the robata grill

13. Three courses of seafood for less than £30

Indulge in delicious fish dishes courtesy of the seafood experts at Rick Stein Barnes, where a 3-course set menu is available for just £29.95. Dishes range from moules marinière to coley fish alla Carlina, and honey custard tart with ginger creme fraiche to finish.

14. An indulgent plant-based feast

Mallow wants you to try as much of their menu as possible with their latest offer for January. Priced at just £38 per person, the Mallow’s Market Menu covers the table with a sharing feast ranging across everything from olive & pickle mojo rojo croquettes to heirloom carrot fattoush with pomegranate and pistachio dukkah, and wild mushroom ravioli in porcini cream.

15. A discounted tasting menu

Head to the skies and enjoy a bougie five-course tasting menu for a fraction of the usual cost. Bōkan 37 is cutting the cost of its seasonally inspired tasting menu from £79 to £59 for January. Enjoy some top-notch food, such as burrata, dry-aged sirloin, and seafood risotto, with world-class views.

16. Meat-free dining for less

Mildreds is inarguably one of the most famous and respected meat-free dining institutions in London, if not the world. And this January, they’re inviting diners to try out their plant-based cuisine by slashing prices. 17. An affordable and warming Japanese set menu

Sticks’n’Sushi is kicking off the new year with a hearty (and affordable) set menu of some warming winter dishes. The Karē Setto treats diners to grilled edamame, miso soup, and Tori Karē – a mild Japanese mushroom curry – for just £21.50.

18. The meat feast and set menus

Every Monday throughout January, 108 Brasserie is the spot to go for carinovres. They’re serving the Butcher’s Selection – a 1kg Black Angus Tomahawk, with black peppercorn sauce, fries, and a 500ml carafe of Cariñena, Fabula de Paniza 2023 for £85.
Throughout the rest of January, they’ve got the Joyful January set menu, with 2 courses for £30, or 3 for £35. Dishes include crispy tiger prawns in spicy cocktail sauce, Thai Massaman curry, crème brûlée, and more.

19. Half-price Champagne afternoon tea

Two of London’s most stunning venues, The Coral Room and Dalloway Terrace, are slashing the price of their Champagne afternoon tea as they serve a curated ‘best of’ menu of their afternoon tea heavy hitters. Priced at just £39 per person, the afternoon tea features treacle tarts, lemon meringue éclairs, all manner of sandwiches, and much more. Oh, and a glass of Charles Heidsieck Champagne. Of course.

20. Ramen with £1 beer

Robin’s Ramen, tucked away in West London’s Supermarket of Dream, serves up steaming bowls of soup, noodles, and toppings, and is backed by top-notch cooking talent from the Michelin-starred Dorian. And this January, they’re treating us to cut-price beer with a half pint of beer for just £1 with each bowl of ramen.

21. Street food sampling and discount drinks

BOXPARK is encouraging Londoners to branch out from their favourite vendors next time they visit as part of their Try a Trader deal. Guests can get a main dish and a soft drink for just £8 every day of the week, between 12-3pm.
