If you need some convincing to whack on a scary film this weekend, they have actually been found to help reduce anxiety. You may not think of horror movies as the obvious antidote to anxiety but research has shown otherwise. And there you have it. If you’re struggling with anxiety during lockdown the third – and I think it is safe to say that most of us are, then horror movies may actually be the answer. Thankfully, we now have a wonderful collection to dive into while indoors!

If you want something light-hearted to tune into afterwards, here are 53 unmissable series and movies new to Netflix this January.
