We learned earlier in the year that Harry Styles would be the curator of Meltdown Festival at the Southbank Centre, and now we have the first names set to play on his lineup.
But who is playing by request of King Harold of Styles-shire? Well, Warpaint will play their only show of 2026 at the Royal Festival Hall, with other huge shows coming from the likes of Kamasi Washington (playing two sets, no less!), Erika de Casier, Mulatu Astatke, the ‘Devonté Hynes Ensemble’, a James Murphy (of LCD Soundsystem) DJ set, and many more.
Meltdown Festival takes place across multiple venues at the Southbank Centre between Thursday, June 11 and Sunday, June 21.
There are now pages for each artist playing live on the Southbank Centre website, with all the announced shows going on sale on Friday, April 10 at 10am. There will also be a member’s pre-sale taking place on Thursday, April 9 at the same time.

Those with a keen eye will notice that the page for one key artist is missing… Harry Styles himself! Each year, the curator plays at least one set of their own, and things will be no different this time around; we’ll just need to wait a little longer for the details on this one.
Information for the Harry Styles headline show is set to be announced at a later date, so we’ll keep our eyes peeled for that.

Speaking on the Meltdown Festival announcement, Mark Ball, Artistic Director of the Southbank Centre, said: “As we celebrate our 75th anniversary year at the Southbank Centre, it’s incredibly exciting to see the artists in Harry Styles’ Meltdown line-up come together. Their breadth speaks to Harry’s deep curiosity about music and his wide-ranging passions, moving fluidly across genres, generations and scenes.
“What’s striking is the sense of connection behind the programme: you can feel the care and intent in every choice. It’s a line-up – including of course Harry himself – that promises to deliver a classic Meltdown festival, and an opportunity to see Harry’s artistic world manifested in a brand new way for audiences.”
Meltdown Festival takes place between Thursday, June 11 and Sunday, June 21. Find more information on the Southbank Centre website.
