Though Walking In The Rain may be one of her biggest hits, most festivalgoers will be hoping for a sunny day out when they go to Grace Jones headlining a day out in London. The iconic artist has just been announced to play a huge outdoor gig in the capital, taking to Crystal Palace on Friday, July 31.
It comes as part of the new ‘Palace Bowl Presents’ series of gigs, which is making its London debut this summer, and they’ll open up their very first event by saying Ladies And Gentlemen: Miss Grace Jones (probably figuratively, maybe literally… let’s see!).

She’s playing the very first night of the series that runs between July 31 and August 16, and joining her for the celebration will be Sophie Ellis-Bextor and Soul II Soul, so it’s certain to be an evening of joyful dancing.
This show will mark Grace Jones’ first in the capital since 2024, when she headlined South Facing festival at the same space.
When do tickets to see Grace Jones go on sale?
Tickets to see Grace Jones at the Crystal Palace Bowl go on general sale this Friday, February 20 at 10am. There will also be pre-sales for the event, which start from tomorrow at the same time.
Who else is playing at Palace Bowl Presents in London this summer?
Grace Jones is the fourth headliner to be announced for the series. Just yesterday, Gary Numan was announced as the third main act, which came after the debut announcement of a Bastille & The Wombats co-headliner, as well as The Gospel Garden festival on Sunday, August 2.
Grace Jones headlines Palace Bowl Presents on Friday, July 31, with support from Sophie Ellis-Bextor and Soul II Soul (plus more TBA). Find out more information at the festival’s website.
