When it comes to bucketlist events in the UK, Glastonbury Festival is high up the list for many. So many, in fact, that it becomes a fully-fledged battle to get your hands on tickets, with millions signing up for a chance to get their hands on one of the 200,000 spots.
It’s now just over two months to go until the weekend of the year at Worthy Farm, and the time has come for the annual spring resale, where a slither of hope is offered to those who missed out on the main sale to the festival back in November.
When is Glastonbury Festival?
Taking place at its trusty Worthy Farm location as always, Glastonbury Festival will take place between Wednesday, June 26 and Sunday, June 30. The bulk of the music, including the main headliners, takes place on Friday-Sunday, but there are stages to enjoy all through the five days of the festival.
How do I get a ticket for Glastonbury?
You’ll need to have registered for tickets by last week, or reviewed your registration from previous years. You can check on your registration, which requires a photo ID for tickets, here. This month’s resale involves all tickets that were returned to the festival following the November sale, or those where the original buyer missed the cutoff point for paying the full ticket balance.
The first of two re-sales this week takes place today (April 18) at 6pm, which involves the ticket + coach journey to and from the festival packages. Thse are limited to two per transaction. Then, on Sunday, April 21, the general admission tickets (four per transaction) will go on sale at 9am, with cancelled accommodation options such as campervan passes going up for resale at 11am on the same day.
This year marks the highest percentage of ticket balances being paid in full, making the chances for tickets in the re-sale increasingly slim. But there’s always a chance, people.
Who is playing Glastonbury 2024?
Last month, Glastonbury Festival announced their main set of acts, which include headliners Dua Lipa, Coldplay, and SZA – plus a Sunday legend slot appearance from Shania Twain. All these artists will take to the Pyramid Stage, which also includes PJ Harvey, Cyndi Lauper, Little Simz, LCD Soundsystem, Michael Kiwanuka, Olivia Dean, Burna Boy, and more.
The Other Stage boasts headliners of Idles, Disclosure and The National, with further acts including Avril Lavigne, Bloc Party, Anne-Marie, The Streets, D-Block Europe, Confidence Man, and more.
Elsewhere on the lineup, attendees will be able to hop around the stages to catch acts including Jungle, Peggy Gou, Sampha, Arlo Parks, Sugababes, Jamie XX, London Grammar, and Fontaines D.C.
