Calling all lovers of thrifting, charity shopping, and second-hand treasures, a brand new flea market is touching down in West London this September, in an iconic location. The Giant West London Flea is bringing a giant (it’s in the name!) selection of vintage goods traders to Hammersmith to transform the “overlooked urban space into a vibrant destination for vintage lovers, interior enthusiasts and curious shoppers”.
The new flea market is coming to the city courtesy of the team behind the hugely popular Hackney Flea Market, Peckham Salvage Yard and Walthamstow Flea Market events. To put it simply: they know what they’re doing when it comes to bringing together some of the city’s most interesting traders. So be sure to head West to check it out on September 26.
Giant West London Flea
Set beneath the vast concrete canopy of the Hammersmith Flyover, the Giant West London Flea will feature over 100 of the UK’s finest second-hand and vintage traders. They’ll have “everything from antique décor, period home fixtures and architectural salvage to vintage furniture, lighting, garden pieces, vintage fashion, house-clearance finds and countless unexpected treasures”.
These aren’t just UK goods either. The traders at the Giant West London Flea regularly “travel throughout the UK and Europe in search of forgotten treasures”.
So whether you need a unique piece of furniture, a trinket or two, some art for the flat, the Giant West London Flea is a must-visit. Even if you just fancy wandering around and exploring, there’s plenty to check out – and you might well find yourself tempted anyway by a special piece…
