When the time calls for it, there isn’t much out there that gets better than a burger and a portion of chips. Give your head a shake, rack your brain a little; but now that image is with you, the best you’re likely to come up with that tops it is a free burger and chips.
And today (September 26), your lunchtime game could go through the roof as the chance to grab exactly that is up for grabs. Honest Burgers have decided to give away 4,000 of their beloved smashed burgers, each with a portion of chips, completely on the house.
If you’re looking for a catch, you’ll be searching for a while, but there is a word of warning: you might need to make your lunch a little early. 100 smashed burgers will be given away for free at each of their sites across the country, but it all operates on a first-come-first-served basis that kicks off at 11:30am, so you may be stood nervously in a queue when the 85th order comes through and you can’t figure out how many people are ahead of you.
A full stomach before midday is a good price to pay for a free burger, especially when it comes from the good bunch at Honest, though, and we reckon plenty will be in agreement come half 11.
On top of giving away the burgers, Honest Burgers will also be giving one customer the ‘Golden Shares’ prize, in which the winner will receive 5,000 shares in the brand and make them a co-owner – details on how to enter will be available when arriving to pick up the sweet free smashed burger.
