London is an incredible city for foodies. We’re home to dazzling MICHELIN-starred restaurants and brilliant food markets. And you’ll find food and drinks festivals taking place all throughout the year, all around the city. But what if you want to share those foodie experiences with your best furry friend? Until now, there hasn’t been much opportunity to do so. But that’s all changing as a global food hall for dogs has opened in the city.
Market Place Food Hall Vauxhall is treating man’s best friend to some special food and drinks this August, to celebrate National Dog Day (August 26). From August 24-28, they’ve transformed into a food hall for dogs, with the venue’s traders creating canine versions of their signature dishes. These include everything from chicken tacos to salmon poke bowls, and even a Sunday roast. Plus, since they’ll need something to wash it all down, there will also be dog-friendly drinks such as a Doggy Guinness and A-paw-rol Spritz.
And dogs will be able to enjoy the food and drink completely for FREE!
The Market Place food hall for dogs
This August, Market Place Vauxhall is inviting four-legged foodies (and their owners) in to enjoy some scrumptious food. And in honour of National Dog Day, they’re picking up the bill – for the dog at least…
For each drink or food item that a human purchases, they can also get a free drink or food item for their dog. Grab a pint, and Fido can enjoy a drink too. And then grab some food, and Fido can join you in tucking in for lunch. Perhaps you can even order the same thing (in human and doggy variants, obviously)!
The dog-friendly food menu includes
- Doggy Guinness – Rich, savoury doggy bone broth topped with whipped cream
- A-paw-rol Spritz – Carrot juice, coconut water and an orange garnish
- Pawsome Poke from Inamo Sukoshi – Plain rice with salmon, garnished with sprats
- Pug-lia Pizza from Made in Puglia – Cheese and tomato topped with salami
- Steak & Fur-ies from Argentinian Grill – Mini steak pieces served with fresh fries
- Yorkie-shire Pudding from Yorkshire Burrito – Fresh meat with traditional Sunday roast vegetables
- The Wagging Duck from Duck Shed – Fresh pieces of duck
- Bark Bowl from Farmhouse Kebab – Succulent chicken served with rice
- Taco ‘Bout a Good Boy from Streat Latin – Chicken tacos
- Woofles & Noodles from Thai House – Egg noodles with chicken
