Japanophiles are going to love this immersive Japanese brunch.
If, like most of us, you can’t stump up the plane fare for a trip to the Land of the Rising Sun, then we may have found an option closer to home. Fever are throwing London’s first ever fully immersive Japanese brunch on February 10th, bringing a true taste of the Far East to our fair capital. As in the great izakayas of Tokyo, you’ll enjoy authentic food, delicious cocktails, and great tunes, all in the cosy surrounds of Mick’s Garage in Hackney – and your tickets are available here!
Well, we say it’s at Mick’s Garage, but you certainly won’t recognise it, as it’s being given a traditional Japanese makeover to immerse you in the design and culture of this fascinating country. All rather peachy, but I’m willing to bet you’re even keener to dive into the food, right? A mouthwatering menu of handcrafted gyoza is on offer here, with pork and Chinese chive, prawn and chive, and shiitake mushroom and tofu options all available. Served with an array of sides including sticky rice, a fresh and bright Asian salad, and a range of dipping sauces, you’ll be leaving this brunch very full and very happy.
As with any good brunch, there’s a bottomless aspect – specifically, an hour of bottomless sake cocktails that are sure to wet your whistle. Meanwhile, a live DJ will be running the decks, soundtracking your brunch with a host of Japan-inspired beats. It’s a brunch experience like no other – so why not give it a gyoza?
