Against all odds, it looks like Christmas isn’t cancelled this year…
Ashridge House, a gorgeous venue found just north of London, is offering the most festive dining experience this December, proving that Christmas really is the most wonderful time of the year. Their magical garden globes and illuminated woodland trail almost sound too good to be true after the year we’ve had, but it looks like our luck is changing. If you need something to look forward to post-lockdown or are struggling to get into the Christmas spirit, this one’s for you.
Their gorgeous globes are available for lunch and dinner, both of which will award you a glass of fizz, spiced mulled wine, tea & coffee and a minimum of four courses of food. These globes are designed for groups of six (perfect for any support bubbles) and they’re heated because baby, it’s cold outside! If dinner with a view is your forte, you’re in luck. You’ll have an extraordinary view of their wonderful winter garden while you dine.
Did we mention that guests will be invited to journey through their beautiful landscaped gardens during the visit? Expect spectacular light installations, tunnels of falling stars, secret hideaways (if you can find them) and Santa’s grotto! Looks like Santa Claus is coming to town after all. And if you find yourself parched along the way, a hot toddy will never be out of reach.

Ashridge House is just a stone’s throw away from London in Hertfordshire – fun fact: it was once home to King Henry VIII! If you venture inside this grandiose building, you’ll find a sea of Christmas trees, festive décor and even a Harry Potter-style staircase to feast your eyes on.

According to their website, they believe their “wonderful guests deserve a little sparkle and joy – something special, tantalisingly different and magical” and I couldn’t agree more. Where do we sign up?
