2. Chris Ofili: Requiem, Tate Britain
Chris Ofili: Requiem ist ein atemberaubendes Wandgemälde zu Ehren der tragischen Todesopfer des Grenfell Tower-Brandes. Die Tate Britain beauftragte Christ Ofili im vergangenen Jahr mit der kompletten Umgestaltung des nördlichen Treppenhauses, das seither die Besucher mit seiner grandiosen Schönheit in seinen Bann zieht. Ofili hatte eine Verbindung zum Turm, da er mit seiner Künstlerkollegin Khadija Saye befreundet war, die leider bei dem Brand ums Leben kam. Die poetische Symbolik und die atemberaubende Lebendigkeit des Turms machen ihn zum siebten Jahrestag der Tragödie in London zu einem absoluten Muss.

5. Bob und Roberta Smith: Thamesmead Codex, Tate Modern
Die Künstler Bob und Roberta Smith haben dieses inspirierende Werk geschaffen, das derzeit in der Tate Modern zu sehen ist. Das Werk dokumentiert Geschichten aus Interviews, die die Künstler mit Menschen geführt haben, die in Thamesmead im Südosten Londons leben. Thamesmead wurde in den sechziger Jahren gebaut, um die Londoner Wohnungskrise nach dem Zweiten Weltkrieg zu bewältigen.
