There’s a number of ways to tell when spring has arrived in the capital city. The days start getting longer, the weather is (sometimes) balmier, and London’s litany of flowers start to show off their blooms. But another, even more reliable sign, is when the charming Dalloway Terrace has its annual spring makeover. And true to form, the venue has undergone a stunning, literary-inspired transformation for the season.
To commemorate 100 years since Virginia Woolf’s Mrs Dalloway was published, the picturesque restaurant has been transformed into “a lush, immersive space where literature, art and nature entwine.” They’ve drawn inspiration from the novel’s opening line – “Mrs Dalloway said she would buy the flowers herself.” – and absolutely FILLED the space with flowers that would be sure to meet the approval of both Dalloway and Woolf.

It’s no wonder Dalloway Terrace continually tops lists of London’s prettiest restaurants – especially now, thanks to the “cascades of hydrangeas, the soft blush of peonies and the delicate fragrance of buttercup yellow wild English rose”.
To accompany the spring spruce-up, Dalloway Terrace has added special spring dishes to the menu. They’ve also partnered up with Silent Pool Gin on a special botanical cocktail collection.

Spring at Dalloway Terrace
In the dreamy new environs, guests can dine on a variety of seasonal dishes. After all, what better way to honour the season than with the freshest produce? The menu includes the likes of Hand-Picked Devonshire Crab, and Artichoke Risotto with spring greens and black truffle. To finish, sweet-toothed Londoners can tuck into Kentish Caramel Tart with crème fraîche or the indulgent Forced Yorkshire Rhubarb & Custard Cheesecake with raspberry sorbet.
But let’s not forget the cocktails! The Silent Pool Gin cocktail menu draws from the pages of the novel for some seasonal delights. Sip at the Surrey Hill Fizz, with Silent Pool Gin, Peach, Lemon, and sparkling honey wine, or opt for the ultimate refreshment with the Ophelia Highball. Mixing Silent Pool Gin, Everleaf Marine, Salted Watermelon, and Soda Water, it’s a drink you’ll almost certainly re-order – over and over again.

Dalloway Terrace is now the perfect spot for al fresco hangs – whether you’re dining, sipping, or indulging in afternoon tea. Can’t you just see yourself whiling away a lovely spring day, surrounded by flowers, with a drink in your hand? Utter bliss!
