Sure, the John Lewis advert may have charm and solid Britishness behind it, but we all know there’s only one advert that truly heralds the coming of Christmas. No brand seems more befitting to spread Christmassy cheer in red and white, after all, than the already red-and-white-clad Coca-Cola. The Coca-Cola Christmas Truck has graced our screens since 1995, and it’s once again embarking on a tour around the UK.
The ever-iconic ‘Holidays Are Coming’ Christmas advert usually appears on British screens towards the end of November, and Coca-Cola will hit the road to bring the joy to the nation. Last year, they rolled out a winter wonderland with plenty of experiences for visitors to enjoy, and we can only imagine this year will compete.
While the exact details are yet to be announced, Coca-Cola typically support one or more charitable causes alongside the tour. In 2023, and for years before that, they have supported FareShare, the UK’s largest charity fighting hunger and food waste, by funding the equivalent of 200,000 meals to those in need. It was also the first year Coca-Cola collaborated with the Royal National Institute of Blind People (RNIB) and NaviLens to make their packaging accessible for blind and partially sighted people. We look forward to finding out what they have in store for 2023.
Coca-Cola Christmas Truck tour stops
We reckon it’ll be pretty hard to miss a 13-tonne truck bedecked in almost nine thousand lights, but Coca-Cola generally like to give us a heads up as to where they will be and when. The details haven’t been announced yet, but we expect updates soon.
According to a response from @CocaCola_GB shared to X, formerly Twitter, last week: “We can confirm that there will be a Truck Tour this year however our team are still finalizing the details so keep an eye on our socials for updates.”
We’ll keep this page updated as soon as we know more.
