The Coca-Cola Christmas Truck Is Coming To London (And You Can Sleep In It)

“Holidays are coming, holidays are coming!”

Screw the John Lewis advert, because we all know that only one advert truly heralds the coming of Christmas. The Coca-Cola Christmas truck has graced our screens since 1995, and now, it’s on tour around the UK. That most wondrous blend of Christmas and capitalism will be rolling into London soon, with gifts for everyone.

Well, it wouldn’t be Christmas without presents, would it? You can pick up a can of Coca-Cola, Diet Coke, or Coke Zero and enjoy the festive cheer/caffeine. There will be carolling, and you can project your festive selfies onto the side of the truck. Haven’t we come a long way since the nineties?

You’d be hard-pressed to miss a 13-tonne truck bedecked in almost nine thousand lights, but we’ll give you the details anyway. First stop is Wembley, on December 8th, for a photo op under the arch. Then, the truck will fight the central London traffic and set up shop at the O2 arena on December 9th & 10th.

That, however, is far from the end of it. Coca-Cola are offering the chance to spend a night in the back of the truck. At a secret location where no-one can hear you scream, no less. Now before you start assuming that this is the start of a festive kidnapping, hear us out. Your room for the night will be fully Christmassed-up, with a tree, fireplace, and festive films playing on the TV. It also comes with a fridge stocked with Coca-Cola, dinner, breakfast, and your very own concierge.

There will also be presents from Santa. Although the uneasy amongst you might regard your freedom as the best present of all… To be clear, this is the first and only time Secret London will encourage you to spend the night in a windowless truck, parked in an undisclosed location. Only because it’s Christmas. And you can trust Santa…right?

The Coca-Cola Christmas Truck Tour reaches 1 Wembley Park Blvd, Wembley, HA9 0TG, on December 8th – nearest station is Wembley Park. You can find it at The O2, Peninsula Square, SE10 0DX on December 9th & 10th – nearest station is North Greenwich.

Not in London but still want to pay a visit? Check the schedule to see if it’s coming to your hometown.

However, this has put him dangerously close to Infernos... You'll find him eating all of London's street food, lost in a bookshop, or shouting at his beloved ice hockey team, the Minnesota Wild.
