Whether it’s the gravy (no one needs a dry roast!) or your Nan’s favourite dessert, we’ve all been there, but fear not, there will be some shops open on Christmas Eve, so you can make a quick last minute dash out of the house and save the dinner. Here’s a rundown of all the opening times of major supermarkets.
Tesco opening hours
Tesco stores will open from 6am to 7pm on Christmas Eve, with Tesco Express stores opening from 7am to 10pm. All stores will be closed on Christmas Day and will reopen on Boxing Day.

Sainsbury’s stores are also expected to alter their store opening times on Christmas Eve, and are expected to open from 6am to 7pm on Christmas Eve, with their convenience stores set to stay open until 9pm. All stores will be closed on Christmas Day and will reopen on Boxing Day.

M&S opening hours
Marks and Spencer’s stores will be open from 6am until 7pm on Christmas Eve, but unlike most other stores will remain closed for both Christmas Day and Boxing Day.

Aldi stores will be open from 7am to 6pm on Christmas Eve, and will remain closed for Christmas Day and Boxing Day.

Lidl opening hours
Lidl stores are expected to be open from 7am until 7pm on Christmas Eve in London, and 7am to 6pm outside of the capital. Stores will be closed on Christmas Day and London stores are expected to be open on Boxing Day from 10am to 6pm.

On Christmas Eve, Asda are extending its opening times from 5am to 7pm. Stores will reopen on Boxing Day from 9am to 6pm.

While the opening hours of Morrisons stores is set to vary, the majority will be open from 6am to 6pm on Christmas Eve. Morrisons stores will be closed on Christmas day and will reopen on Boxing Day from 9am until 6pm.
