Fancy a trip to Malaysia? Singapore? How about the Philippines? What about visiting all three – and exploring all around Asia while you’re at it? And what if I told you that you could do that without even hopping on a plane or leaving London? Well, thanks to Celebrasia, an enormous culture and food festival, that’s exactly what you can do: explore South East Asia, without the airfare…
Celebrasia is a big ol’ festival that takes over the Battersea Power Station each year to celebrate the incredible diversity of food, culture, and creativity across the 11 ASEAN (Association of Southeast Asian Nations) member countries. This year, they’re promising their biggest festival yet, across the weekend of September 11-13.
And it’s completely FREE to visit!
Celebrasia
One of the most incredible things about living in London is the amazing diversity of its people. Those who live in the city come from all across the globe – and many bring their home culture to the city for us to enjoy. That means the capital is full to the brim of exciting places to eat, wonderful cultural events and showcases, unique experiences, and more.
Celebrasia takes that diversity and sharing of cultures and pushes it to the max. Visitors to the festival can expect:
- Over 35 food and drink vendors, serving dishes from across South East Asia
- live music and performances – ranging from dance, to DJ sets, and live comedy
- National dress parades will travel throughout the neighbourhood
- Craft workshops
- Cooking classes
- Artisan Market with more than 50 independent traders.

Across all of the food stands, workshops, performances, and more, guests will immerse themselves in the following 11 ASEAN countries:
- Brunei
- Cambodia
- Indonesia
- Laos
- Malaysia
- Myanmar
- Philippines
- Singapore
- Thailand
- Timor-Leste
- Vietnam
The Celebrasia festival also features a Grand Tour trail. This takes visitors on an interactive journey through South East Asia.
Who needs a plane when you can just head on over to Battersea?!
