It’s beginning to look a lot like…
Well, not quite yet, but the thought may be flickering at the back of your mind – and when did it ever hurt to start planning early? Simply treat this article as one of your reminders that very soon, London will be bathed in the lights shimmering across the city and the Christmas trees will appear on every square in the city.

Carnaby Street is famous for rocking out a masterclass display every time around, and loves to surprise those flocking to their street each festive season by switching up the design each year. And, just one day away, they’ve got a plan up their sleeves for a beautiful set of Christmas lights to paint across the canvas of their space once more.
When will the Carnaby Street Christmas lights switch on?
Carnaby Street has confirmed that its grand switch on will take place tomorrow (November 6), wasting no time from when the clocks go back and the calendar strikes the penultimate month of 2025.
What will the display be this year?
Last year, Carnaby revealed its LED lights would be reused for the next five years as its display evolves over the time period. Staying true to their word, they’ve now unveiled plans for their 2025 display as part two of their sustainable scheme, titled ‘All Is Bright’ this time around. As you can see in the mockup images, they’ve gone for a splattering of colour to keep the joy going far and wide across town.
Speaking on the announcement, Catherine Riccomini, Director of Marketing and Communications at Shaftesbury Capital, said: “Carnaby Street has long set the standard for Christmas in London, and this year’s ‘All is Bright’ design takes our five-year lighting scheme to bold new heights. This colourful installation captures the joy and optimism of the season while reflecting the creativity and vibrancy that make Soho unique, ensuring an unforgettable festive experience for everyone who visits.”

2024’s Christmas decorations in Carnaby were named ‘Into The Light’, with the display featuring glowing Christmas crackers, ribbons and more above the heads of the festive revellers walking through the area.
Carnaby Street will be lit up by Christmas lights from November 6.
