At the Candlelit Sound Bath experience, you and your inner peace take centre stage. Following a successful debut event back in November (2022), the tranquil, meditation-style sessions have returned by popular demand with more frequent sessions, bringing hundreds of candles and a whole lot of zen to London Town.
On January 21–22 and January 28–29, head to a venue on Brompton Road to let natural elements encourage a state of relaxation within you. On February 18, the Candlelit Sound Bath will instead take place at the Grade II–listed Porchester Hall, illuminating the 20th-century venue.
What is a Candlelit Sound Bath?
Effectively, a sound bath is a meditation session that uses sound therapies to centre you. As you sit in the sound bath (not a literal bath, just FYI), illuminated by hundreds of candles, the sound waves from Tibetan and crystal bowls, tuning forks, shamanic drumming, and more will wash over you, and encourage you to completely unwind. The meditation session will be led by an experienced practitioner with over 10 years’ experience, so you can almost guarantee you’ll leave feeling utterly blissful no matter whether you attend the South Kensington or Bayswater sessions.
The session is 75 minutes long, and you can choose from multiple sessions throughout the weekends – choose the slot best suited to you here. Yoga mat rental is available too, plus there’ll be a plethora of blankets and pillows available for maximum comfort.
