If you thought that Oxford Street is insufferably busy on a usual day then you may want to avoid it this Sunday (6th November) for the big Christmas light switch on and the NSPCC Oxford Street First Family Festival. Oxford Street will become a real-life monopoly board with larger than life Mr Monopoly himself as the game master. The real reason you’ll all be there however is the fact that the first 50 people who “Pass GO” at the opening of the festival will be given an impressive £200 gift card to spend on their Christmas shopping!
This isn’t the first time London landmarks have been taken over by huge board games, with Trafalgar Square being monopolised (haha) earlier this year. If you feel like putting your elbows to good use and fighting your way through the hoards of people to be one of those lucky 50 and nab yourself a tasty £200, then get down to Oxford Street this Sunday!
