After three years of serving Camden Market’s hungry and thirsty punters, The Farrier is sadly saying goodbye. What started off as Camden Market’s first-ever pub, opening during the pandemic, grew into one of the area’s most beloved spots. Despite this success, the “tourist-heavy, seasonal nature of the area” proved difficult to overcome. As such, they will be closing their doors for the final time on November 3, 2024.
However, they are not going ‘gentle into that good night’. Instead, the beloved pub is bidding farewell to Camden Market in the style they’re most known for – with some truly epic Sunday Roasts.
Throughout their final month of being open, The Farrier will serve up the largest roast menu you’ll find in London. What do we mean by that? From October 6 until November 3, Sunday Roast diners can choose from 10 different Sunday Roast options. These range from the classic cuts we all know and love to rare game and poultry. They’ll even have a plant-based smoked beetroot and walnut wellington.
As well as a hefty selection to choose from, the roasts remain impressive behemoths with all the usual sides and trimmings. Each roast comes with Guinness gravy, Yorkshire pudding, torched hispi cabbage, orange and honey Hasselback carrots, lovage purée, and garlic and rosemary bone marrow potatoes.
Naturally, you’ll need a drink too – so The Farrier has levelled up its signature Sunday Roast cocktail. The bar team has elevated their classic bloody mary into a smoked tomato bloody mary. Each one is also hand-stretched (poured between multiple cocktail shakers multiple times) to ensure an extra smooth finish.
The future of The Farrier
With The Farrier set to shut its doors for the last time on November 3, many are surely wondering what might be next for the beloved pub. Unfortunately, there isn’t much news to share. But we can rest assured that this isn’t quite the end of the road for The Farrier. While they’ve had to close the pub in Camden, the team is now looking for “new locations for future neighborhood sites, with a focus on attracting a more local audience.”
Said Geroge Hartshorn, co-owner of The Farrier:
“We’re incredibly proud of what the team has achieved with The Farrier, especially launching during the challenges of the pandemic and becoming a valued part of Camden’s vibrant tapestry. While it’s bittersweet to close this chapter, we’re excited to rebuild and bring our hospitality offering to new neighborhoods across London.”

The Farrier’s final service will be on Sunday, November 3. The pub will continue to run its usual lunch and dinner services, from Monday to Saturday, until then.
