Just a train ride from central London, a fresh cafe concept blends speciality coffee with LEGO construction. At Brick Stop, on the Surrey-London border, this cafe lets you unleash your creativity by building your very own LEGO creation which is pure nostalgia.
Founders Claire and James established this space in Caterham to offer a calming environment where you can take a break from the busyness of life and enjoy a mindful activity. It can be enjoyed by adults and children alike, and it’s made for those who find fast paced and loud environments overstimulating.
A catalogue of over 200 LEGO Sets
Upon arrival, guests browse a digital menu of over 200 LEGO sets. You can filter the collection by age, category, or current availability to find a project suited to your mood—from a highly detailed pink typewriter to a simpler green crocodile, which is what the Secret London team opted for on their visit.
Borrowing a chosen design costs £5 per person, per hour. Crucially, this fee covers all disassembly and cleaning afterwards.
While working through the instruction booklets, visitors can order artisan coffee, almond croissants, and giant cookies. For those tackling longer, more ambitious structures, the kitchen also prepares hearty lunch options.
Getting there
Whether you want a quiet solo retreat or a unique date idea, securing a dedicated table in advance is highly recommended. You can choose from one, two or three hour slots, or an adults-only evening session, for those wanting to embrace their inner child.
You can find the venue at 26 Godstone Rd, Caterham CR3 6RA and you can get more info on the Brick Stop official website.
